inside our brooklyn studio
Nowhere’s live room is perfect for live tracking your band. Comfortable enough for 5 to 6 musicians, plus a a spacious isolation booth that can easily hold a singer (or two) and a couple amps. The centerpiece of our live room is our beautiful DW Collector’s Series drum kit. Our hand-built mic locker holds modern and vintage mics from brands like Neumann, Schoeps, and Telefunken. We also have a wide range of in-house studio classic guitars and stompboxes to help you hone in on that tone you’ve been looking for.
Our art-filled control room boasts HEDD monitors and a Neumann sub, perfect for making sure everything sounds the way you want it. it has plenty of space for you or the band to listen to comps and relax between takes. With a comfortable leather couch, books, and knick-knacks, the control room feels like a living room that just happens to have top-of-the-line audio equipment from companies like vintage Neves, Altecs, and modern powerhouses like our 8 channels of Wunder Audio preamps.
Nowhere’s dedicated amp locker is one of the best in Brooklyn. We are honored to home holy grails like our orginal Vox AC30, Fender Princeton, and Sunn Solarus. Rivaled by our more modern options from manufacturers like Carstens and Orange. And if you need something more unique, we have you covered with amps like our 1950s Gibson BR-6, Bell and Howell Filmosound, or our Crate that was our chief-engineer’s first amp.
Our lounge, affectionally called “the shed” is perfect for storing your empty cases, grabbing a cup of tea, or working out a part while the other member’s record. We proudly serve coffee from a local roaster, Abeja. We’ve even had a singer setup an entire work-from-home station for between takes. The shed is there to make sure you have everything you need to make your session roll.
Last but not least, we are incredible lucky to have the coolest backyard in Brooklyn. Just steps from the studio, it’s perfect for catching a little bit of sun or some fresh air. And during the summer months we host our open mics, and community events here.
